Be Free Earthlings
This was a throwaway concept for P&O's 'Be Free Earthlings' campaign, the final having different UX and UI.
Be Free Earthlings is idea driven by a lust to escape the ordinary. The 'Cruiselings' want to invite and entice you, a 9-5 'Earthling' into their world. A world where time has no limits. Responsibilities don't exist. And 'Like no place on Earth', freedom reigns.
As a design concept for the experience piece, I wanted the audience to explore the Cruiseling realm for themselves. Taste a hint of that freedom by keyboard steering their way through adventures, all tying into the end brief — a chance to pause reality and win life as a Cruiseling.
Technically, I researched and collaborated with developers to ensure that all targeted demographic devices will encounter the best experience during their time on the site. Advanced background and video techniques, with simple yet effective CSS magic, has even the most tech illiterate Earthling cruising into the coveted Cruiseling stratosphere.
